If you liked this one you might also like the songs she composed and performed with Hillsong United especially: Lead Me to the Cross, Hosanna, and Desert Song.
On her solo albums, beside this awesome C.S. Lewis Song, I also like Shadowfeet, Something in the Water, and Flags.
Thanks for sharing this one Colleen. I agree, the lyrics are powerful. It made me think of the Narnia stories by Lewis and the song by Switchfoot, This Is Home from the movie.
ReplyDeleteThanks and God bless.
Thank you for sharing Colleen. I am familiar with this song. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteShe has a beautiful voice Colleen! I didn't know music was composed with C.S. Lewis in mind. Were the lyrics from his work?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteKarin, JBR, Noreen and Daily Grace--thanks for listening and commenting.
ReplyDeleteYes, Noreen, the lyrics are quotes from CS Lewis's writings. I should do a post cross-referencing them some time.
This song is one that, without seeing the lyrics, it takes quite a few listens to pick up such exquisitely wonderful thoughts and insights, and really let your soul and mind dwell on some of them. I listen to this song frequently along with a couple of Audrey Assad songs. It wasn't until I was preparing the post that I caught the great line, "Made for love, Made to know you."
